Empath Protection from Negative Energy

Hey Folks, Wow!! Has this been a interesting month of happenings... Lot's of letting go of old ways,  opening to a whole new world of possibility. Beautiful and Perfect! I am soooo Grateful!!!

Well, Let's get to it. This months topic is Protection, protection from negative energy. As an empath, in my experience, we feel other peoples energy regardless of whether it is negative or positive, especially when in a public place. For our purposes here let's focus on the negative, simply because if you are going to protect yourself you need to understand what the negative energy is so that you can recognize it.

What is Negative Energy? Negative energy is fear, stress, grief, worry, hate, shame, guilt, anger, etc... As empaths we feel these emotions radiating from other people around us, sometimes to the point of literally becoming the emotion we are are feeling, therefore losing ourselves and becoming a person we are not. This energy you are picking up on is not yours and you can protect yourself from it. The trick is to "Not Attach to IT" Acknowledge it and recognize it, just don't attach, it is Not yours. "Let others own their own feelings". There are a couple ways that I like to use to prevent attachment to an others energy.

The first is what I call "volume knobs" - I love this one and it works great for me. Imagine everyone including yourself has a volume knob on their chest. What you do is when you feel their energy "turn them down". Never turn yours down, simply put you don't want to shut yourself off this would take away your ability to notice if your are being affected by someone and it would shut down your energy flow and that is not good for you. On the flip side, turning someone else down doesn't hurt them.

The second way I use is to surround myself with a golden ball. I have found in my experience that golden light protects me well from others energy especially in places where there are a lot of people and I can't "turn everyone down". You can use different colors as well, some use violet or electric violet, and that works well for them. There is no one better color, there is only what works for you. I recommend experimenting with different colors till you find the one that works best. How I surround myself. I start with a small ball around my heart and place the intention I want it to carry and then consciously grow it until it surrounds me. I like to think of it as protecting my personal space which is about 3 ft around me.
Sometimes I even use them both in conjunction with each other to get a real powerful effect.

Hope these help, Love, Light and Blessings to All

Distant Love

Loving You from afar,
finally with understanding of who we are.
Life's bumpy roads are not enough,
to take away hearts.
Today is special.
Today is bright.
I can see you shining in the light.
Stop a moment and meet my eyes,
for that is where my Love resides.
I Love You.

What Is an Empath? - My Experience

What is an empath? To have empathic ability, What does that mean?
Trying to find a definition was not easy,  most were for empathy or empathic. I found one that best describes what an Empath is and what it means to have empathic ability, here it is.
Empath - A person capable of psychically reading the emotions of others - this came from wiktionary.org
Here is another great explanation or definition from the "Book of Storms" by Jad Alexander
An Empath is a type of "psychic", but instead of reading the "future" or viewing remote objects, the Empath specializes in reading people. Here is the link - http://mysilentecho.com/dreamtongue1.htm

I like this one too, it's a little more descriptive, however in my experience I have found that I can see the future and the past as well and remotely view both. This happens when I am facilitating a healing with a client. Other types of experiences that I have had as an empath have to do with sensing the energy of a person or group of people when I come into contact with them. This has been the hardest thing for me to deal with. There was a big learning curve. I went out and found a lot of different ways to protect myself from other peoples energy. All the ways I found worked, however not all the time and sometimes not at all. There was a lot of trial and error.
Over time as well, as I developed my empathic ability through meditation and by performing healings on clients, which for me acts as a form of meditation. I found that I was becoming more and more sensitive to other people, especially if they were really hurting. This was great for my ability to help people in a controlled setting. However in public people were attaching to me and draining my energy left and right. I was almost always in a state of fatigue. Trying to live life that way is no fun. Imagine being conscious enough to know that if you go to a public place that you will feel sick, tired, unsettled, helpless, hurt, the list could go on. All the feelings of the others around you. This is what an empath experiences. Once you realize that it's not you, your journey begins.
Next time I will talk about some of the ways that I found help with protecting yourself from what has become commonly known in empathic language as an "energy vampire". There is one super powerful way that has never failed me... Stay tuned...

I'm Out and In the Open

I am finding myself falling into my old patterns of neglect for self and depression.
I wonder what the connection is for me to victim and blame energy that unconsciously allows me to fall back into this space? I am wondering if I have not fully accepted myself and therefore am not accepting of how I live. Wow that just rang a bell about how my sister feels she was treated by our mother, where how she chose to live is unacceptable and that she should clean up her life. Is this the same for me? Even though I have always seemed to go the other direction in life. Amazing... Here’s my hallucination - Here I am in life being looked at by my family as a rouge, a free thinker, a rebel someone who goes against what is considered normal to them. Meanwhile inside, I’m hurting and unconsciously sabotaging myself due to the programming I have from my childhood. I am sensing that I have been hiding the real from myself and the world and that is my truth. What I feel I need to do is open myself and express to the world who I am and not hide anymore. Like I wrote yesterday, No more half-assed living life. What I do I enjoy, the only secrets I have are the ones people don’t ask me about. In other words NONE. I get asked I tell, No Holds Barred. I take responsibility for myself and no one else. I have lived a life of fear and secrecy far to long and need to be expressive and loving and take hold of my truth which is that I am who I am no matter what I was taught and what anyone says to me. I show up with integrity and truth from my heart space.

Here’s what I actually wrote yesterday.

No more half-assed living, I pledge to myself to show up for myself and be there for myself with impeccable integrity for myself with impeccable communication, empathy and reflection - to show up BIG with My Feet Firmly Planted in The Garden Of Love. All this for Myself So that I Show Up Gigantic For Everyone Else!!!!!! Love To You All!!!!!

All The Way In

When you must, you will. When there is nothing to fall back on, you can only move forward.
It's frightening when everything is on the line. It's also exhilarating and motivating and compelling and empowering.
Commitment is not a halfway thing. Either you're all the way in or you're simply not going to be very effective.
Choose your priorities thoughtfully, carefully, and sincerely. Then commit yourself fully to them.
Real, solid, unwavering commitment brings the power of purpose to what you're doing. Be truly committed, and it happens.
You can achieve whatever you imagine. Do it by jumping all the way in.

Rumi - Guest House

This being human is a guest house
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they are a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out for some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
meet them at the door laughing,
and invite them in.
Be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.

The Amazing Life Inside the Human Body.

"Each one of you is so amazing. Right now you have in you one quadrillion cells. That's one hundred trillion times one thousand. About nine hundred trillion of those cells are not human. They're virus, bacteria, and microorganisms. What makes us human, ironically, is not human. If they were not there you would rot like a piece of fruit in a few days. So be grateful for those free riders. But I want you to experience something, because every second in your body, one septillion things are happening. That's a one with 24 zeros. Another way to imagine one septillion is it's ten times more than all the stars and planets in the known universe. Now, let me ask you a question: Can you feel it? Seriously. One septillion interactions. It's called life. You can feel it."

Empty space

On a regular basis, do nothing. Drop your expectations, forget your worries and anxieties, and don't even think about feeling guilty about it. Everyone alive must have some sleep each day. Just as your body needs the restful period that sleep provides, your mind and spirit benefit from regular restful times as well.
When you read a good book, it is the spaces between the words that enable you to understand each one of those words. In a musical composition, the silence between the notes is just as important as the sound of the instruments.
In whatever you are working to accomplish, be sure to put in some well-placed empty space. Pauses can be just as significant as the most eloquent words, and periods of unproductive rest can be just as useful as periods of strenuous, focused activity.
No, of course you wouldn't want to be lazy and inactive all the time, yet you will benefit from balancing your diligent efforts with peaceful relaxation. The busy times make the restful times more enjoyable, and the restful times make the busy times more productive.
Just because you're not intensely engaged in focused accomplishment doesn't mean that you've stopped moving forward. Devote some time to relaxing and refreshing your spirit, and your efforts will become more effective than ever.

Heal the hurt

When you blame others for your troubles, you give them control of your life. Free yourself from your own anger, from your own resentment, and you'll find vastly more room for serenity and abundance.
It's bad enough if someone has wronged you in the past. Is it of any value for you to continue suffering from it?
Your best strategy is not to prolong the pain, or expand upon it. Your best strategy is to get past it as quickly as possible.
Whether or not anyone deserves your forgiveness is not the point. The point is, you deserve to forgive, to take back control of your life, so that you can live abundantly.
Your forgiveness may not even make a difference to those you forgive, if they're even aware of it. For you, it makes all the difference in the world.
When it is you who is feeling the hurt, it is also you who can heal the hurt. Heal the hurt, and move past the pain, with forgiveness.

Be The Real You

Let life know who you are. If you have to hide yourself to get what you want, do you really even want it?

And while you're at it, make sure you let yourself know who you are. Be absolutely honest and authentic, especially with yourself.

It's easy to get what you want from life. The real difficult and essential work is figuring out what that is.

If you think it might be nice, that's not enough. If it looks good on somebody else, that's not enough.

What you truly want is what you dearly love. It is something that uniquely and elegantly expresses the real, live, passionate person you are.

You cannot find that or follow it by pretending to be who you're not. Be the real you, all the time, and joyfully feel the flow of your own great abundance.

Precious Gifts

Feel the abundance

Go ahead, and let yourself be wonderful. It's much, much easier than you think.

Nothing has to get you down unless you choose to get you down. Stop looking for reasons to place judgments on events and realize the abundance that always is.
Go ahead, and let your beautiful purpose flow out through your words and actions. Let go of the twisted reasoning that says you must hold yourself back.
It never makes sense to be any less than you are. Richness arises out of how much you put into each moment, not from what you hide away.
Instead of wasting your energy on blocking your true self, use that energy to create and fulfill and express in ways that are wonderful. Instead of constructing and maintaining doubt, release and nourish new joy.
It's so much easier to be who you are than to try and pretend who you're not. Go ahead, feel the abundance, and let yourself live its endless possibilities.

Think and feel

You can think and you can feel. You can reason and you can abandon all reason.

You can understand logic and you can appreciate beauty. You can find great value in a mathematical formula and also in the chorus of crickets on a summer night.

Do you understand the limitless possibilities that arise from such a potent combination? Can you feel the power that lives within your spirit?

When your thoughts and your feelings support and encourage and amplify each other, truly great things happen. When your creativity is enabled by discipline, and when your thoughts are energized by passion, nothing is out of reach.

If your thoughts stray too far from your purpose, you can feel your way back. If your feelings keep you stuck in one place, you can think your way out.

You are one, and yet you can think as well as feel. Continue to more fully experience the wholeness of that miraculous contradiction, and you'll know that it is no contradiction at all.

Dark Night of the Soul

This is an amazing video from the Humanity Healing Foundation that I want to share. If you are a light worker and are on your journey, this video will show you there is a light at the end of the tunnel. During those moments where it seems "ignorance is bliss" this short video will remind you that "ignorance is NOT bliss" and that we must continue to grow and heal as one. I for one am Grateful For Today as I step out into the Unknown. Thanks, and Much Love to All

Do what matters

Do what matters, not just what is convenient. Do what is fulfilling, not just what is easy.
Just being busy will not lead you to anything of value. Instead, challenge yourself to be effective in the service of a meaningful purpose.

Any particular stretch of your time can be infinitely valuable or it can be hopelessly worthless. Which will it be right now, on this very day?

See that every moment has the potential for soaring greatness. Let your words and actions, your thoughts and deeds express that potential in your own special way.

There are many skills that must be studied and developed, and you can choose the ones you wish to acquire. The skill of living, however, need only be allowed, for it is already within you.

Live with richness, with great fulfillment and joy and substance. Do what matters, what really matters, and delight in being the unique, beautiful person you are.

Feel Encouraged

The world will not always offer you encouragement. Often you must supply your own.
Many times you'll have good reason to feel sorry for yourself. Yet you can just as easily choose to feel encouraged about yourself.
Reach deep inside and find the goodness that is always there, the goodness you may have forgotten about. Feel the positive purpose that nothing can take away from you.
You are worthy and relevant, effective and capable of the very best. Remind yourself often.
Keep in mind that every disappointment is temporary. Every frustration can be overcome.
There is every reason to persist, to endure and to move forward with the most positive of expectations. Because deep within, you know you can.
-- Ralph Marston
